The SQE is the new single, rigorous assessment for all aspiring solicitors – marking a step change in how people train and enter the profession. The SQE is intended to widen the ways to qualify as a solicitor but also make sure that everyone reaches the same high standards.
The BSN in association with the Sole Practitioners Group and the Solicitors Regulation Authority are hosting a free webinar with a view to gathering more information about the SQE and the wider qualification changes that will affect the legal profession from this September.
Speaker:
Julie Brannan, Director of Education and Training, SRA.
Topics:
- SQE assessments – what they test and how
- Qualifying work experience – what are the responsibilities for firms
- Opportunities for law firms and employers
- SQE assessment website
- How to go about setting up apprenticeships
There will be time for a Q & A session with Julie at the end of the presentation.
