On Thursday 14 July 2016 Robert Bourns took up his new post as the 172nd President of the Law Society. Attending his inaugural speech Sukhjit Ahluwalia SPG Chair enthusiastically welcomed him saying: “A very inspirational and motivating speech by our new President, he spoke with passion and conviction, when he talked about having pride in our profession, justice for all, diversity and social mobility. I am excited by a President wanting to help the profession in these changing times with Brexit and with a clear manifesto to help and promote small firms.”
